Abstract

This paper develops a hazardous material distribution model based on a real company. The proposed model determines where to install supply centers and how to perform transport operations to minimize costs. The mixed integer programming model optimizes the company fleet, locates its supply centers and determines its distribution routes. The model designs a distribution network taking into account capital expenditure and operating expenses.
