Abstract
Here we study some texts of contemporary fantastic heritage written in Spanish by women, understanding them as part of a «narrative of the sinister». In this aim, we discuss the theorizing about this gender with a psychoanalytical approach, which allows us to place the irruption of the unheimlich on the horizon of the logic of the learning novel or bildungsroman. Specifically, we focus here on childhood as the first stage of psychosocial training, attending to the manifestations of the hidden areas of the personality as moments of anagnorisis that will be elaborated a posteriori. Our conclusion points to the need for including in the constant reformulation of reality —and with this, of the fantastic genre— not just those physical and instrumental elements, but also and especially the ethic component that define our conscient knowledge and those areas that we prefer to ignore.
